As a professional athlete he reached the top of the game in both Rugby League and Rugby Union before going on to achieve a black belt in Karate.

In his broadcasting career he has worked across a variety of sports on both television and radio in the United Kingdom and Ireland before returning to work at ABC NewsRadio and ABC News24 in 2010.
