New police phone line still weeks away
A spokeswoman for Territory Police says extra staff and new rosters have been implemented to ensure residents can contact Alice Springs police while a new phone system is installed.
The Alice Springs police station came under fire in April because its crime hot line was ringing unanswered.
Police estimate the new lines will be running by the end of the month.
